Hey my beauty lovers, Tyra here. I have been trying out a bunch of new beauty products and in this post I will share my favourite products from this month. Off we go!
1. The Body Shop Eye Colour Stick in 'Nevada Gold'This is the most pigmented eye colour stick I have tried so far. I have it in a very metallic gold shade and it is absolutely stunning, although you do not want to apply too much otherwise it becomes slightly chunky. It's basically an eye shadow in stick form and it lasts very long on the eyes. Another plus side is that it is waterproof, and can be used as an eyeliner as well, though that is a bit tricky since it has a bit of a chubby tip. I highly recommend this for a look where you need your eye makeup to last all day/night long because this stuff does not budge.
2. Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara
I am convinced that the universe aligned itself with the mascara gods and they came together to make this specific mascara. I found it a bit intimidating at first because a lot of product comes out on the wand but once you get used to it you will learn how to control it. This mascara separates, lengthens and volumises my lashes. What more could I ask for? It is super black and I love it. Big thumbs up.
3. MAC Strobe Cream in 'Goldlite'
I know you all might have cringed at the sight of 'MAC' but I don't know of any other product like this one that can be sourced easily. This is basically a liquid highlight and it looks glowy, not greasy, when applied. Some people use this as an illuminating moisturiser but I personally am not trying to run out of this anytime soon. It is expensive. I use this under foundation for a more dewy look, or I just apply it on the tops of my cheeks and the tip of my nose just to give my face a nice glow on a "no makeup" day. It is not an "Instagram" highlight. You aren't going to blind your neighbours but you will glow like a pretty fleck of gold. I can guarantee you that.
4. Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser
This was the very first primer I ever purchased and I haven't stopped using it since. It is great for those of you with larger pores and leaves your skin feeling so smooth. It fills in the pores but doesn't clog them or break you out, if that makes sense. I concentrate on putting this around my T-Zone and on the apples of my cheeks, closer to my nose. Anywhere where I have larger pores, I jam it in there. It works great and is friendly on the wallet.
5. Elie Saab Le Parfum
My last favourite of the month is a perfume. My mum received it as a gift but gave it to me because she only uses one perfume and refuses to try any other. I'm not going to go on and say it has hints of this and top notes of that because half the time nobody really wants to know. I'm just going to say it smells incredible and lasts all day long. It isn't a 'sexy' scent like Lady Million by Paco Rabanne or Angel by Thierry Mugler, it's summery without smelling like old flowers, you know? The product description says it has "the scents of orange blossom and rose honey" in it. I can't smell those *smiles awkwardly*. I'm not sure where exactly it is available but if you happen to come across it just smell it.
That is all for my favourites mi amores. See you next time!
